Postdoc Position:
We are seeking a post-doctoral researcher to work on in situ transmission electron microscopy (TEM) experiments under various combinations of extreme environments utilizing facilities at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories (Berkeley,CA). The successful candidate must have a PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, or a closely related field. Candidates will be able to operate Routine TEM/STEM/SEM; aberration corrected TEM/STEM. Ideal candidates will have experience with in situ liquid TEM, Liquid TEM sample Preparation, Atomic modeling of interfacial structures using Material Studio; TEM/STEM Image Simulations or self-made Matlab codes. The candidate should be a self-starter, able to work independently, and able to participate creatively in refining research directions. Presentations at national/international meetings and publication of scientific results in high-profile peer-reviewed journals are expected.
